Obituary of Russ Ballard

Russ Ballard, 54 years of age, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital,  Lake Saint Louis. Missouri.

Russ was born January 13, 1968 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late Vernon & Beverly Ballard. He was partnered by his older brother Mike Ballard throughout life. Russ attended school at Palisade High School in Palisade, Colorado.

Russ carried on his work of heavy equipment operating after high school. Russ was married in 1989 to his wife, Dee Ballard. Russ and family moved to Roach, Missouri in 2000 where he continued to work with heavy machinery at Camden County Road & Bridge.  He moved on from there to Missouri State Department of Conservation where he was currently employed.  He supported the lake community as a fire fighter and a rescue diver for Mid County Fire Protection District.

Russ loved spending his time with his most prized possession; family.  He loved to fish and hunt, and enjoyed boating on the lake and hanging out with friends. He also loved golfing going to Cardinal baseball games, and playing softball with family and a lot of friends.

Russ leaves to cherish his loving memory,  his wife, Dee Ballard; his 3 children, Chad (wife Shyanne) Ballard, Brad Ballard, and Danielle (husband John) Rujawitz; his 3 granddaughters, Aspen and Amaya Ballard and Lily Rujawitz and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews,cousins, family and friends.

A Celebration of Russ's life will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 1:00 pm, at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, prior to services at the funeral home.

The family kindly requests casual dress attire for services.

Memorials are suggested to MO VETS OUTDOORS in memory of Russ Ballard and may be left at the funeral home.
