A high school cheerleader, business owner, care giver, and a beautiful lady in so many ways with an awesome personality. An aunt that kept her nieces and nephews close and reminded them they were loved. I will miss her texts and photos she sent. I knew something had to be wrong when I sent her a Merry Christmas text and she didn’t respond. She will be missed, but always remembered.

Few words come close to what Jay meant to her family and friends. In Charles Spencer's eulogy, he described his sister, Princess Diana, in ways that are so befitting of Jay. a Beautiful woman, unique, extraordinary and irreplaceable who's internal and external beauty will never be extinguished. Jay was one of my most precious friends from the library. I got to know her in 1999 when I started working there. She was an avid reader, and we liked a lot of the same books. She was such a sweetheart, and her kindness was immeasurable. She will always be in my memories, and the love I had for her will be in my heart. I am so sorry for the loss of this beautiful lady. My first and lasting memory of Jay is how much she loved her family; her children, her grandchildren and "her Charlie". Second will be the many friends she had, she loved them and they loved her. Jay always had a smile, a positive-uplifting attitude no matter her circumstances at the moment. Jay has left us with many great memories.. We are grateful for all the years we shared with her. Q: What will you never forget about Jessie L.? A: Jessy (Jay) as we all called her was more than a friend, we called each other sister. Jay will live in my Heart forever and always.. Her love was bigger than the Ocean and her Heart bigger than the Sky. Jay's Love for Life was beyond anyone's imagination.
