Dear Kathy & Augie, Steve was always there for me as friends and colleagues. He & I worked together on patent cases that were challenging, and Steve always had the correct angle of approach: unique and daring. He was by far the best attorney that I worked with and had a passion for winning. By taking chances, he was very successful in his professional career and was able to use this to encourage and mentor others to join him. I will cherish his friendship and the faith that he had in me. His passing is a significant loss to so many. I pray that you will be comforted in time and healing will be accomplished. Steve will be my true friend forever. Mark Johnson

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He always made a point to keep in touch with me and we often reminisced about our time together in the Dow legal department and the golf rounds we had over the years. Condolences to Kathy and Augie, I know its a tough time now but I'm glad to know you all have many family memories with Steve to treasure. Lee Spencer

One of my favorite memories of time spent with Steve were the late evenings we spent together at Washington University. Our Senior year, every other Wednesday night, late into the morning, Steve, Tom and I churned out our Chem. E. lab report. Steve would routinely interrupt our session with goofy jokes and laughter. We crunched out analysis, and laughed until 2:00 a.m.
