Steve enjoyed traveling, especially to locations in the Caribbean to scuba dive, including St. Lucia, Curacao, and Cozumel. Later, he vacationed annually on his favorite island, Grand Cayman, in the British West Indies.
Steve channeled his energy into the development of a 100+ acre tract of land named Cardinal Crossing. The project included a furnished cabin, a large shed, and mowed trails, nestled in the natural beauty of the Ozark hills. Pollinator habitat restoration using Missouri native trees and shrubs is a priority, in addition to maintaining a small orchard, a large garden and an apiary.
Steve loved the family pets, both the dogs and the cats. Kato, his beloved German Shepard, will be overjoyed to reunite with Steve in heaven. His five Bush Family cats miss him dearly.
