David S. Van Dee, age 67, of Linn Creek, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023.  

David was born on June 18, 1955, in Williamsburg, Iowa. He was the son of Jean Croy and Donald Van Dee. 

On November 21, 1993, David was united in marriage to Lisa Klein in Waterloo, Iowa. They shared over 29 years of marriage together at the time of his passing.  

David was a very dedicated worker and worked in city government for over 36 years. He was an avid reader and loved listening to audio books. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and spending time on his tractor. He loved to travel, especially with his wife by his side, and he especially loved spending time with his family and friends.  

David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be deeply missed. 

David is survived by his wife Lisa Van Dee, of Missouri; His Step-Mother Elizabeth Van Dee of Missouri, his four children, Kerry Turner (Curt) of Iowa, Terry Hall (Mike) of Arizona, Tara Frazee of Arizona, and David Van Dee (Heather) of Iowa; his two brothers, Thomas Boots of California and Patrick Boots of California; his five sisters, Diana Nissen (Bryan) of Iowa, Deby Buck (Edward) of Arizona, Joni Boots of Iowa, Tamara Van Dee (Kevin) of Michigan, and Lyndi Stahlberg (Shane) of Minnesota; and his nine grandchildren. 

David is preceded in death by his parents Donald Van Dee and Jean Brown; two brothers; numerous aunts and uncles and one grandson.  

No formal services have been scheduled at this time.
